Al Rahwan is a Shipping Company from Madinah to Oman that collects personal belongings, cartons of dates, household furniture and cars from your door in any district of the city, then sends them east in an enclosed truck through Qassim and Riyadh to the Empty Quarter road, across the Empty Quarter crossing (Al Rub’ Al Khali) into Oman at Ramlat Khaylah, and from there via Ibri to Muscat. Counting from loading day until handover in Muscat or a northern city, the journey takes 5–7 days including border clearance, with one or two extra days for Salalah and the more distant governorates. Prices start at SAR 110 for a carton or suitcase of up to 30 kg, SAR 1,100 for one room’s worth of furniture, and SAR 1,680 for a sedan loaded alongside other cars. Call 0568829975 (the same number takes WhatsApp), staffed every day 7 am–11 pm, while the online order form never closes.

The requests that come out of Madinah for Oman have a character of their own. A long-time resident is offered a contract in Sohar and wants to take the whole household. An Omani student finishes his studies at one of the city’s universities and needs his books, clothes and room furnishings sent home. An Omani visitor buys cartons of Ajwa dates, prayer rugs and gift copies of the Quran in the central area and would rather not pay excess baggage at the airport. A family ships its car because the father has already started work in Muscat. Each of them needs different preparation and pays a different price, and what they share is the road itself: a long one that crosses the Kingdom from the west to its far south-eastern corner.
- Route: Madinah → Qassim → Riyadh → the Al Batha road junction → a 564 km desert road → Ramlat Khaylah → 161 km to Ibri.
- Days: 5–7 days to Muscat and the north, one to two days more to Salalah, 24–48 hours for an air parcel.
- Visit gifts: SAR 110 to start for a carton of Ajwa or a suitcase of clothes weighing 30 kg or less; SAR 32 for a light parcel of no more than 5 kg.
- Living quarters: SAR 1,100 to start for the furniture of a student’s or single worker’s room; SAR 1,850 for a family flat of three bedrooms and its appliances.
- Car: SAR 1,680 to start for the family sedan on a carrier it shares with others; SAR 2,780 for an SUV.
- Traders: a slot on a shared truck from SAR 410, commercial goods at SAR 790 a tonne.
The truck’s road from Madinah to Muscat, stage by stage
There is no short way between Madinah and the Sultanate of Oman. Madinah sits in the west of the Kingdom, Oman occupies the south-eastern corner of the peninsula, and between them lie central Najd and the sands of the Empty Quarter. A truck loaded outside your home in Al Aziziyah or Quba heads out on the Qassim road, continues to Riyadh, then turns toward the Eastern Province until it reaches the Al Batha road junction. From there the Empty Quarter road sets off, about 564 km on Saudi soil, through the dunes to the Empty Quarter crossing. On the Omani side the Ramlat Khaylah post receives it, and beyond lie about 161 km of road to Ibri, the first large town in Al Dhahirah Governorate. From Ibri shipments fan out to Muscat, Nizwa, Sohar and the other wilayats. The Empty Quarter section alone, junction to Ibri, comes to about 725 km, and it is the part that calls for a sound truck and a driver who knows the desert.

No other land border post connects Saudi Arabia straight to Oman besides the Empty Quarter crossing. It belongs administratively to the Eastern Province and has a dedicated yard for commercial trucks. Before this road opened, every shipment went through the UAE, and that route still exists for particular cases described below. Most Madinah consignments bound for Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah and Dhofar take the Empty Quarter road because it enters Oman directly with no intermediate borders.
| Stage | From – to | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Loading | Your home or store in Madinah | Inventory, packing and numbering, then loading into an enclosed truck, or a shuttle by dyna to the big truck |
| Inland leg | Madinah → Qassim → Riyadh | Highway driving; your load may be combined with consignments from Qassim or Riyadh on a shared truck |
| Turn east | Riyadh → Al Batha road junction | Start of the Empty Quarter road |
| Desert road | Junction → Empty Quarter crossing | About 564 km through the dunes |
| Border | Empty Quarter crossing → Ramlat Khaylah | Export filed on Fasah, then clearance and inspection through Bayan on the Omani side |
| Inside Oman | Ramlat Khaylah → Ibri → destination | About 161 km to Ibri, then on to Muscat or another governorate and delivery to the door |
When does a shipment go through the UAE instead?
Oman can be reached by two roads: the direct one through the Empty Quarter crossing, and an alternative that leaves Saudi Arabia at Al Batha into the UAE and enters Oman at one of the UAE–Oman posts, such as Hatta and then Al Wajajah on the way to Muscat, the posts around Al Buraimi, or Khatmat Malaha leading to Shinas and Sohar. Al Rahwan settles the choice according to the Omani town you are receiving in and the type of shipment. If your address is in Musandam there is no choice at all, because Musandam can only be reached by land through the UAE. If it is in Al Buraimi or North Al Batinah, or if your load is small and will join a consolidated load that passes through the UAE, the alternative may suit better. Muscat, Ibri, Nizwa and Salalah normally go via the Empty Quarter. Going through the UAE means more than one border and more than one set of formalities, so it is only chosen when it genuinely benefits your consignment.
Why does a Madinah shipment take 5–7 days?
The difference between Madinah and, say, Dammam is not the border; clearance at the crossing is the same for everyone. It lies in the inland distance from Madinah to the start of the Empty Quarter road, and in the fact that a shared truck leaving Madinah often stops to top up its load in Qassim or Riyadh before heading into the desert. If your consignment is large and you book a dedicated truck, it runs without consolidation stops and the transit leans toward the lower figure. A single carton or small parcel waits for the load to fill, which is exactly why it costs so little.
Delays you can avoid
Most delays happen not on the road but in the crossing yard when paperwork is incomplete. The usual culprits are a vague inventory reading “household items” instead of describing each piece, a missing agent authorisation on Fasah, a receiver without an Omani phone number registered for Bayan, and cartons containing medicines in quantity or undeclared wireless devices. That is why Al Rahwan checks the documents and the inventory before loading day rather than when the truck reaches the border. Advance clearance is what keeps the transit within 5–7 days.
Car shipping from Madinah to Oman
Shipping your car from Madinah to Oman is cheaper and far less tiring than driving it for at least two days across Najd and the Empty Quarter, especially when the family is flying. The car rides a carrier with several decks, under a protective cover, its wheels strapped to the deck, along the same route to the Empty Quarter crossing, and it takes roughly the same time as other Madinah shipments: about 5–7 days to Muscat. Prices open at SAR 1,680 for a sedan sharing the carrier, rise to SAR 2,780 for an SUV or big family vehicle on the same basis, stand at SAR 2,400 when the carrier is booked for your car alone, and reach SAR 4,150 for a prestige car in an enclosed carrier.

| Car shipping option | Suits | From |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan on a shared carrier | An ordinary family car | SAR 1,680 |
| Four-wheel drive on a shared carrier | SUVs and large family vehicles | SAR 2,780 |
| Carrier dedicated to your car | Owners who need a fixed departure without waiting for the carrier to fill | SAR 2,400 |
| Enclosed carrier | Luxury and classic cars | SAR 4,150 |
Car paperwork before it leaves Madinah
Before export the car must have an istimara that has not expired and every traffic fine cleared. The plates go back to the traffic department, which issues an export certificate in exchange; Oman insists on an export certificate from the country of registration. Bring the owner’s ID too, plus a bank letter if finance is still outstanding, a notarised authorisation when someone else delivers the car for the owner, and the name and number of whoever receives it in Oman. Once in Oman, the Royal Oman Police inspect and register it. Import conditions vary with the vehicle and the owner’s status, so Al Rahwan checks Oman’s conditions against your particular car before the booking is confirmed. That way no car is shipped only to discover at the border that it does not qualify.
Getting the car ready on loading day
The car travels empty: no suitcases in the boot, no cartons on the seats. Anything you want to send goes with the household or carton shipment. Photograph the car from all four sides before handing it over, leave about a quarter tank of fuel, hand over one key, and remove detachable extras such as a roof rack if it would exceed the deck height on the carrier. The odometer reading and any existing scratches go on the collection form, and the same condition is compared at delivery in Oman.
How long does shipping from Madinah to Oman take?
From Madinah to Muscat and the northern Omani cities, road freight needs 5–7 days between loading and delivery, with clearance at both border posts already counted. Salalah, Al Wusta and other distant areas need one to two extra days, a car takes about the same as other shipments from its city, and an air parcel takes 24–48 hours. The table places Madinah among the other Saudi cities, for anyone wondering why transit times differ:
| Departure city | To Muscat and the north | To Salalah and Al Wusta |
|---|---|---|
| Dammam, Khobar, Jubail and Al Ahsa | 3–4 days | One to two days more |
| Riyadh and Qassim | 3–5 days | One to two days more |
| Madinah, Jeddah, Makkah, Taif and Khamis Mushait | 5–7 days | One to two days more |
| Tabuk | 6–8 days | One to two days more |
| Air from any city | 24–48 hours | 24–48 hours to Salalah Airport |
Do not count the transit in hours the way you would plan a drive in your own car. The truck keeps to regulated driving times, waits in the crossing yard until the manifest is matched, and then there is unloading and assembly at the house. If you have a fixed appointment in Oman, such as the first day at a new job or the handover of a flat, leave at least one day of margin beyond the upper figure.

Worked examples for shipments leaving Madinah
- A visitor going home with gifts: four cartons of Ajwa and presents, each under 30 kg: 4 × 110 = SAR 440 as a starting figure.
- A student who has graduated: his room’s furniture plus two cartons of books: 1,100 + 220 = SAR 1,320.
- A resident family moving to Muscat: a three-bedroom flat with appliances and two cars, a sedan and a four-wheel drive on a shared carrier: 1,850 + 1,680 + 2,780 = SAR 6,310.
- A date trader sending stock: 250 kg at the road rate per kilo to Muscat: 250 × 5.5 = SAR 1,375.
All of these are starting figures built on the table. The final quote comes from the actual inventory: number and size of pieces, floor and lift in Madinah and in Oman, the Omani governorate, and whether you need dismantling and assembly, wooden crates or storage.
What pushes the quote up and what brings it down
Four things raise the price: volume more than weight for furniture, since a large sofa takes more truck space than its weight suggests; delivery to a distant governorate such as Dhofar or Al Wusta; extra services such as wooden crates for fragile pieces or air-conditioner removal; and asking for a dedicated truck instead of a shared one. It comes down when you get rid of old pieces before the survey, accept the shared truck’s departure date, and gather small items into evenly filled cartons instead of loose bags. If you want every line itemised before deciding, use the Request a shipping quote page.
Collection from Madinah’s districts, Yanbu and AlUla
Al Rahwan collects from the door of your home or accommodation anywhere in Madinah, inside and outside the ring road, and you are never asked to deliver your things to a warehouse. The big truck cannot enter every street, particularly in the older quarters near the central area with their narrow lanes, so in those cases the furniture goes by dyna or pickup from your door to the big truck parked on a main road. The small vehicle only covers that short hop inside the city; nothing but the enclosed truck crosses the border.
- Older quarters around the central area: including the streets around Sayyid Al Shuhada and Al Qiblatain, where lanes are tighter and a small local vehicle is usually needed.
- Large residential districts: Al Aziziyah, Quba, Al Awali, Al Usbah, Shoran, Al Harra Al Sharqiyah, Al Harra Al Gharbiyah, Al Uyun, Al Khalidiyah, Al Jurf and Al Jamawat.
- Apartment-block districts: Sultanah, Al Difaa, Baqdo and Al Iskan, where many flats are on upper floors and the lift has to be arranged with the building management.
- Student and worker housing: Al Rahwan collects from shared accommodation by the carton or by the room, working around the housing’s hours and entry rules.
- Yanbu and AlUla: consignments from both are collected and added to the Madinah load before it heads east, so you never pay for a whole truck for two cartons or a single room.
When you ask for a quote, give your district, the street name or nearest landmark, the floor and whether there is a lift. Those details decide how many crew and what kind of vehicle come to you first, and they explain most of the differences between one quote and another.
Shipping Madinah dates, gifts and personal effects to Oman
Ajwa is the best-known thing people take from Madinah to their families in Oman, along with Sukkari, Anbara, Safawi and Rothana dates, date paste and mixed gift cartons. Dates are food, and food crossing into Oman follows whichever regulations apply when it ships, so dates travel in sealed factory or shop packs carrying a product label rather than in open bags. A personal quantity for gifts is treated differently from a commercial quantity, which needs an invoice and trader’s papers, and Al Rahwan checks how much you are sending before loading and prepares the papers to match.
Packing dates properly is simple but often skipped. The boxes of dates go inside a double-walled carton, the gaps are filled with crumpled paper so nothing shifts, and the carton is never loaded under heavy furniture. The Empty Quarter heat raises the temperature inside the truck, so very soft dates in large quantities are best not sent in the hottest summer months without insulated packing. A carton of dates up to 30 kg costs the same as any carton: from SAR 110.
The other gifts visitors buy have their own rules. Copies of the Quran and books stand upright in small cartons because books are heavy; prayer rugs and clothes are folded into sealed bags and then cartons; prayer beads and small ornaments are wrapped piece by piece. Perfumes, oud oil and liquid incense do not go in the truck: the road heat spoils them and they can leak onto everything else. It is better for the owner to carry them when travelling, in line with the airline’s own rules.
Furniture and household moving from Madinah to Oman
Moving a home from Madinah to Oman starts with a free survey at the house or by video, counting everything: rooms, kitchen, majlis seating, air conditioners, appliances and the expected number of cartons. From that survey comes an inventory in Arabic and English with every piece described, the same list that goes on the export declaration, is checked during Omani clearance and is matched at unloading. Then comes dismantling, packing and numbering, loading, the journey, and finally unloading, placing, assembly and arranging at the new address in Oman.

Packing each piece the way it needs
- Fabric sofas: cloth or paper first so plastic never touches the upholstery, then a blanket, then loosely applied plastic that lets air move, because tight plastic in desert heat traps moisture.
- Leather sofas: cotton blankets and then plastic, with the corners protected by stiff card.
- Wooden and glass tables: the glass top comes off and is wrapped separately in bubble wrap and card; the legs are protected with thick paper.
- Mirrors and pictures: flat cartons cut to size, loaded standing up, never lying flat.
- Crockery and glassware: each item wrapped on its own and stood upright in small cartons marked fragile with the top indicated.
- Mattresses: sealed mattress bags to keep out dust.
Dismantling wardrobes, kitchens, majlis sets and air conditioners
Large wardrobes are taken down to panels, and all their screws and handles go into one bag carrying the same number as the panels, so the assembly crew in Oman is never left guessing. A kitchen comes apart cabinet by cabinet, with doors and drawers wrapped on their own, and the marble or granite worktop goes into a crate because it is heavier and more brittle than it looks. Majlis cushions and backrests are folded and bagged, and rugs are rolled around a tube, never folded. For split air conditioners a technician first draws its gas back into the outdoor unit and only then disconnects the pipes; both halves are wrapped and installed again in Oman. The fridge is emptied and dried a day before loading, and the washer gets its transit bolts fitted where the model provides them.
Unloading and assembly in your Omani home
On arrival the crew unloads into the house, puts each piece in its room according to the numbering, assembles the wardrobes, beds and kitchen, and arranges whatever was agreed. If the home is in a building in Muscat, book the lift in advance and get the management’s approval for the unloading time; it saves hours of waiting. The inventory is then checked with the receiver piece by piece before the delivery is signed.
Cartons, suitcases and online-store parcels from Madinah
Not everyone shipping to Oman is moving a home. Many Madinah requests are one or two cartons or a large suitcase, so Al Rahwan accepts small consignments and adds them to the shared load. The lowest price on the list is SAR 32, for parcels that weigh 5 kg or under, followed by SAR 110 for a carton or suitcase weighing up to 30 kg. Every carton is labelled with the receiver’s name in Oman, his Omani phone number, governorate and wilayat, and comes with a list of its contents.
Online stores in Madinah selling dates, non-liquid fragrances, clothing or books can send their Omani customers’ orders by the carton, group them into a part load priced from SAR 410, or send bigger volumes by the kilo from SAR 5.5 to Muscat. A store that ships regularly benefits from a fixed weekly departure its customers can count on.
A tip for a carton shipped on its own: never send it half full, because a carton with empty space inside caves in under the others. Fill it to the top, keep it to a weight you can lift with both hands, put the heaviest things at the bottom and seal it with wide tape in an H pattern.
Commercial goods and equipment from Madinah
A trader in Madinah has three options depending on volume. A part load (LTL) on a shared truck suits a few pallets or cartons of stock; it starts from SAR 410 and anything beyond is charged by weight or volume. Whoever fills a truck (FTL) can book an enclosed one for himself, from SAR 4,200 for the haulage only, which also keeps his stock away from other cargo. Heavy goods by the tonne start from SAR 790. Pallets and heavy machinery cannot be priced until their weights and sizes are known, and they get an itemised quote of their own.
A trader is asked for things an individual is not: a copy of the commercial registration, the sales invoice, a packing list showing what each package holds, details of whoever imports the goods in Oman, and a certificate of origin when customs calls for one. If the goods are food, such as dates in commercial quantities, they fall under the Omani food requirements in force at the time of shipping, and that is arranged before loading rather than at the border.
Containers carry commercial cargo only; loading at either Jeddah Islamic Port or Dammam’s King Abdulaziz Port, and unloading at one of Sohar, Salalah or Duqm. For a Madinah trader Jeddah is the nearer port, and the price of a twenty-foot container begins at SAR 5,200. Sea freight does not suit household furniture or a handful of cartons, because the road is faster and the formalities simpler.
A timeline for anyone relocating from Madinah to Oman
Relocations from Madinah to Oman usually stumble over timing rather than the shipping itself: a lease that ends before the truck date, a work visa that runs late, a car whose export certificate has not been issued. Here is a practical order that many families on this route have followed:
- Three weeks ahead: survey and quote, decide what ships and what gets sold, and ask Al Rahwan about the import conditions if the car is going too.
- Two weeks ahead: settle traffic fines and get the car’s export certificate, name the receiver in Oman and obtain his Omani phone number and ID copy.
- One week ahead: approve the Arabic and English inventory, sign the Fasah authorisation, and book the lift in your Madinah building if there is one.
- Three days ahead: switch off and dry the fridge, disconnect the washing machine, and pack the bag for the first days that travels with you.
- Loading day: the crew dismantles, wraps and numbers everything, you sign the inventory, and the car goes to the carrier the same day or on its own scheduled date.
- After arrival: book the lift in Muscat, then unloading and assembly, a piece-by-piece inventory check, and the car’s inspection and registration with the Royal Oman Police.
If the family will stay in a hotel or furnished flat in Oman until the permanent home is ready, there is no need for the shipment to sit at the border; it can be stored after arrival and delivered on the day you choose.
Road, air or sea? And Muscat or Salalah?
| Mode | Transit from Madinah | Suits | Does not suit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Road via the Empty Quarter | 5–7 days to Muscat | Furniture, cars, cartons and goods | Urgent documents |
| Air | 24–48 hours | Light urgent parcels and documents | Furniture, heavy quantities and liquids |
| Sea, by container | According to the sailing schedule | Commercial goods by the full container | Household furniture and small shipments |
Muscat is the most requested destination and a Madinah shipment reaches it in 5–7 days. Salalah is in Dhofar in the south of Oman, and the road to it inside the country is longer, so it needs one to two extra days and the added distance goes into the quote. If your shipment is going by air, Salalah Airport receives parcels just as Muscat International Airport does, so there is no long onward trip after landing.
Air freight from Madinah to Oman
Air freight is for the things that cannot spend a week on the road: official papers, a student’s attested certificates, personal prescription medicines, a laptop you need for the new job, a gift for a fixed date. It lands at Muscat International Airport or Salalah Airport after 24–48 hours. The first price is SAR 110 for an urgent parcel of 5 kg or less; above that, you are sent a quote worked out on chargeable weight. It flies from whichever nearby airport has a suitable flight: Madinah’s own airport if possible, failing that Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz Airport or Riyadh’s King Khalid Airport.

Airlines do not charge on scale weight alone. They take the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight, which is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 6000. A carton of 55 × 45 × 40 cm works out at 16.5 kg volumetric, so if it holds light clothing weighing 7 kg on the scale, you pay for 16.5 kg. Never fly a big, light carton; send it by road and keep air for small, heavy and urgent items. Liquids, perfumes and large batteries fly only if the airline’s own rules allow.
Documents needed to ship from Madinah to Oman
The papers depend on what you ship, but the rule is the same: every document is ready before loading day. Anyone shipping personal effects or a household prepares copies of passport and ID or iqama, a detailed inventory in both languages and an authorisation for the agent on Fasah, and gets complete details from the receiver in Oman. The table sets out the differences:
| Shipment type | Documents |
|---|---|
| Personal effects and household goods | From you: copies of your passport and ID or iqama, a written inventory in both languages describing every piece, and the Fasah authorisation for your agent. From the receiver: his name, the Omani phone number used to register on Bayan, the address down to governorate, wilayat, district, floor and whether there is a lift, his Omani ID or residence card in copy, and his own authorisation for the agent |
| Cartons, gifts and dates for personal use | Your iqama or ID, a sheet listing what each carton holds, and the receiver’s name and Omani number |
| Commercial goods | The commercial sales invoice with its packing list, the trader’s registration certificate in copy, who the importer in Oman is, and, when asked for, a certificate of origin |
| Car | An istimara that has not expired; an export certificate from the traffic department once the plates are returned; the owner’s ID; the bank’s letter if finance remains; fines paid; a notarised authorisation for anyone delivering it for the owner; the receiver’s name and phone in Oman |
Many people underestimate the receiver’s Omani phone number, yet it is required to register the shipment on Bayan. If you are travelling yourself and do not have an Omani SIM yet, name a relative or colleague in Oman as receiver to sign the authorisation, or tell Al Rahwan early so an alternative can be arranged.
Customs on both sides: Fasah at the Saudi crossing, Bayan at Ramlat Khaylah
Before the truck leaves the Kingdom you give the clearing agent an electronic authorisation, and he lodges the export declaration in your name through Fasah, an online customs system belonging to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. At the crossing an inspector may ask for a number of cartons to be opened and compared with the list. So do not seal cartons in a way that makes them hard to open and close again, and do not mix items from two different lists in one carton.
Once on Omani soil, responsibility passes to the Directorate General of Customs of the Royal Oman Police, whose electronic system is called Bayan; the consignment is registered there, then inspected and cleared at Ramlat Khaylah, or wherever it enters from the UAE if it came the other way. Omani customs decides how used personal effects and cars are treated according to the rules applying on the shipping date. Al Rahwan reviews your case before loading to know what applies to it, rather than handing out general promises that fall apart at the border.
What cannot leave Madinah, and what to declare
A truck bound for Oman will not carry guns or ammunition, explosives, drugs, anything that burns (so no gas bottles and no fuel cans), fake branded goods or dangerous chemicals. A second list is allowed only if declared, and may need approval: medicine beyond personal use, a drone, a two-way radio, a big battery, a plant, or food. On all of it, customs has the last word. A recurring mistake in Madinah shipments is a small camping gas canister forgotten in a box of kitchen things, or an incense set with a lighter in it, which holds up the whole consignment.
Insurance, tracking and storage from Madinah
Cover on the declared value
Insurance is not imposed; you choose it when you book, and its cost follows the value you declare for your goods and the photographed inventory. Take photos of anything valuable before it disappears into wrapping, and write a rough value next to it on the list; that is what any claim refers back to.
The four tracking notices
Four messages reach you by phone or WhatsApp: on loading day in Madinah, when the truck pulls into the Saudi crossing, once it is through into Oman, and at your door. Between those points you can ask on the same number whenever you like.
Storage before or after the move
If you have to leave your Madinah accommodation before you can take over your home in Oman, storage is the practical answer, either before departure in the Kingdom or after arrival in Oman. Its price is set once the survey shows the volume and how long you need it.

| Musandam | Khasab | By land through the UAE only |
The cheapest way to ship from Madinah to Oman
The cheapest option is always road freight on a shared truck with a flexible date that lets your load be combined with others. For cartons, fill each one up to 30 kg rather than sending half-empty boxes, since a single carton starts from SAR 110 however little it weighs. For furniture, sell or give away old pieces before the survey, because every piece shipped takes space and is charged. For the car, a shared carrier costs clearly less than a dedicated one if you are not in a hurry. And choose air only for small, urgent items.
Tips before shipping and mistakes many people make
- A vague inventory: writing “household goods” instead of describing each piece delays clearance on both sides.
- Sending perfume and candles: the Empty Quarter heat melts wax and ruins fragrances, so they stay out of the truck.
- Items inside the car: the car ships empty, and anything left in it can hold it up.
- Forgetting the lift: not booking the building lift in Muscat drags out delivery day.
- A deadline with no margin: do not tie your first day at work in Oman to the minimum transit.
- Leaving fines unpaid: a car with outstanding fines will not get its export certificate.
- Dates in open bags: food goes in sealed packs with a product label.
How to choose a shipping company from Madinah to Oman
Ask three questions before you pay. Which road will my shipment take, and why? Who handles clearance on Fasah and Bayan? Who assembles the furniture in Oman? A company that answers clearly about the crossing, the transit and the paperwork, gives you an itemised quote after a survey and an inventory you sign, is one that knows this route. Someone who quotes over the phone without asking about the floor or the number of pieces, or promises a transit shorter than the realistic one, will surprise you with a difference later.
The reverse direction: from Oman to Madinah
Al Rahwan also ships from the Sultanate of Oman to Madinah on the same road, for people returning from a job in Oman, for an Omani family sending their son’s things to his student accommodation in Madinah, or for anyone sending belongings to relatives. The paperwork is reversed: export from Oman and clearance on the Saudi side.
Why Madinah residents choose Al Rahwan for Oman
- A known road: Al Rahwan picks between the Empty Quarter and the UAE route according to your wilayat, not out of habit.
- Door collection: from any district of Madinah, and from Yanbu and AlUla by consolidation.
- Paperwork before the border: the authorisation, the inventory and the Bayan details are checked before loading day.
- Assembly in Oman: unloading, placing, assembly and arranging are part of a home move.
- Clear starting prices: from SAR 32 for a small parcel to SAR 4,150 for a villa, with an itemised quote for anything without a listed price.
- Daily contact: 7 am to 11 pm by phone, and online orders at any time.
