As a Shipping Company from Dammam to Oman, Al Rahwan loads goods, equipment, furniture and cars in Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran, Qatif and Jubail, and drives it to the Al Batha road junction and down the desert highway to the border post called the Empty Quarter crossing (Al Rub’ Al Khali), opposite Oman’s Ramlat Khaylah. Three to four days after loading it is in Muscat or the northern towns, with clearance included in that time. Trade cargo is charged from SAR 790 a tonne, a single box or case of up to 30 kg from SAR 110, a sedan sharing a transporter from SAR 1,680, and a 20 ft sea container from SAR 5,200. Phone 0568829975 (WhatsApp works on it too) daily from 7 am until 11 pm, or drop your request into the website form whenever you like.

The Eastern Province is quite literally the Kingdom’s gateway to Oman: the Empty Quarter crossing itself belongs administratively to the Eastern Province, and only Al Ahsa sits nearer than Dammam to where the road begins. That makes the Dammam lane the shortest of all the routes to Oman, and most of its loads are commercial: factories in Dammam’s industrial cities, contractors moving equipment to projects in Sohar and Duqm, and suppliers sending regular stock to Muscat, alongside families and employees transferred from Eastern Province companies to Oman. From the Eastern Province, Al Rahwan can send goods by truck, ship or plane to any country you name; the Sultanate simply happens to be one it is asked for most.
- Transit: three or four days to Muscat and the north; Salalah and Al Wusta take a day or two beyond that.
- The direct road: 564 km of desert highway from the Al Batha junction to the border, with Ibri in Al Dhahirah a further 161 km on.
- Commercial: from SAR 790 per tonne, SAR 5.5 per kilo for quantities to Muscat, SAR 410 for a part load and SAR 4,200 for a dedicated enclosed truck.
- Sea: SAR 5,200 starts a 20 ft container sailing from King Abdulaziz Port to Sohar, Duqm or Salalah.
- Individuals: the lightest parcel is SAR 32, a 30 kg box SAR 110, and a three-room flat SAR 1,850, all as starting prices.
- Cars: a shared-transporter slot costs from SAR 1,680 for a sedan and from SAR 2,780 for an SUV.
- Air: a day or two from King Fahd Airport to Muscat or Salalah airport, with SAR 110 the first price for an urgent packet of 5 kg or less.
From Dammam to Oman: the shortest lane through the Empty Quarter crossing
The truck leaves Dammam southward on the road towards Al Ahsa and continues to the Al Batha road junction, at the start of the Empty Quarter highway. From that junction it covers 564 km deep into the sands to the Empty Quarter crossing, completes the Saudi exit formalities, then rolls on to Ramlat Khaylah to enter Oman; from there it is 161 km to Ibri, the first big town on the road. The junction-to-Ibri stretch is about 725 km, and from Ibri the loads spread out to Muscat, Nizwa, Al Batinah and Al Sharqiyah.

Dammam’s advantage is that the distance a truck drives inside the Kingdom before the Empty Quarter road begins is short compared with Riyadh or Jeddah. Because that run is short, the paperwork can be completed the day before loading while the truck is still in its yard. A load put on the truck in Dammam in the morning with complete papers is in Oman three to four days later, and normally only an incomplete file or a shipment collected from several places goes beyond that.
| Stage | Where | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Loading | Dammam, Khobar, Jubail or Qatif | Goods weighed, cartons and pallets counted, truck sealed |
| Road inside the Kingdom | Dammam → Al Ahsa → Al Batha junction | Driving to the start of the Empty Quarter road |
| Empty Quarter road | 564 km from the junction | Crossing the desert to the border |
| Exit from the Kingdom | Empty Quarter crossing | Export declaration on Fasah checked, inspection |
| Entry into Oman | Ramlat Khaylah | Omani customs formalities on the Bayan system |
| First town | Ibri (161 km after the border) | Then distribution to the governorates |
When does a Dammam shipment take the UAE road?
The desert highway is not always the answer. For freight going to Sohar or Shinas in North Al Batinah, or to Al Buraimi, it may work better to exit at Al Batha into the UAE and enter Oman at Khatmat Malaha towards Al Batinah or through the Al Buraimi crossings, or via Hatta and Al Wajajah if the destination is Muscat from the north. Musandam has no road access except through the UAE anyway. This route passes four border posts instead of two, so its formalities take longer, but it reaches some northern wilayats from their nearer side. Which of the two roads a load takes is settled only after Al Rahwan knows the delivery wilayat and what the goods are, and the answer is written into the quote itself.
Transit times from Eastern Province cities to Omani towns
| From | To Muscat and the north | To Salalah and Al Wusta |
|---|---|---|
| Dammam | 3–4 days | 4–6 days |
| Khobar and Dhahran | 3–4 days | 4–6 days |
| Qatif, Saihat and Safwa | 3–4 days | 4–6 days |
| Jubail | 3–4 days | 4–6 days |
| Cars | About the same | About the same |
| Air from King Fahd Airport | 24–48 hours | 24–48 hours to Salalah Airport |
The time starts when the truck is sealed and ends with handover at the address, including the formalities at both posts. There is no road service from Dammam to Oman that arrives “the same day” or “in a few hours”; that is only possible by plane, and only for a small parcel.
Collection from Dammam districts and Eastern Province towns
Al Rahwan collects from the customer’s door in every district of the Dammam metropolitan area and the Eastern Province towns; you are never asked to bring your goods to a warehouse. What the crew needs to know about a district is not just its name but the street: can the big truck stop outside the house, or must the furniture first go by dyna or pickup to a point where the enclosed truck can park? Dynas and pickups are for local transfers only; it is the enclosed trucks that cross the border.
| City | Collection districts and areas | Note |

Car shipping from Dammam to Oman
A car from the Eastern Province reaches Oman in roughly 3–4 days. It travels on an upper or lower deck of a multi-level transporter, under a cover and strapped at each wheel, and its own engine stays off the whole way. Al Rahwan accepts every kind of car: brand-new cars straight from the dealer, used cars, luxury cars, and classics whose owners care about every inch of paint.

| Service | From | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan on a shared carrier | SAR 1,680 | Leaves when the carrier is full |
| Four-wheel drive on a shared carrier | SAR 2,780 | SUVs and large family cars |
| A carrier dedicated to your car | SAR 2,400 | A loading date you choose |
| Enclosed carrier for luxury cars | SAR 4,150 | Full protection from dust and sun |
The car’s paperwork in Dammam
Before loading, the car needs: a valid registration (istimara), export plates and certificate issued by traffic, a copy of the owner’s ID, any outstanding fines settled, a bank letter if the car is under finance, an authorisation for the person handing it over if that is not the owner, and the name and details of the consignee in Oman. In Oman the Royal Oman Police want the export certificate from the car’s country of registration, after which the car is inspected and registered with them. Before you book, Al Rahwan matches your model against Oman’s import requirements so it is never sent back from the border.
New, used and classic cars
A new car that has not yet been registered needs its purchase invoice and dealer papers alongside the export papers. A used car gets a photo condition report at collection: existing scratches, the odometer, the keys and the accessories in the boot such as the spare wheel and jack. A classic or modified car goes on the lower deck or into an enclosed carrier depending on its height and value. In every case the car travels empty of personal belongings.
Shipping prices from Dammam to Oman
How much does shipping from Dammam to Oman cost? Trade cargo begins at SAR 790 a tonne, or SAR 5.5 a kilo for bulk heading to Muscat. Households pay from SAR 110 for a 30 kg box or case, SAR 1,100 to move a room’s furniture, SAR 1,850 when a whole three-room flat with appliances goes, and SAR 1,680 for a sedan; a 20 ft sea container starts at SAR 5,200. Those figures are the opening rates to Muscat and the north; the final quote follows a free survey or the shipment details.

Many items shipped from Dammam do not suit a fixed price and are priced once they are seen or once their weights and sizes are sent: a fridge or washing machine sent on its own, sensitive electronics, sports equipment such as treadmills and weights, large garden play sets, antiques and decorative pieces, non-perishable foodstuffs, dates in quantity, pallets, a 40 ft container, heavy equipment, storage and insurance. For all of these, ask for an itemised quote. Far-off drops such as Salalah and Taqah in Dhofar, or Haima and Duqm in Al Wusta, carry their extra distance in the quote. There is usually some offer on, so raise it when booking.
Worked examples from the Eastern Province
- A factory sending 5 tonnes of its products: 5 × SAR 790 = SAR 3,950 as the starting road price.
- A Khobar family with a flat, an SUV and kitchen cartons: flat SAR 1,850 + four-wheel drive SAR 2,780 + three cartons SAR 330 = SAR 4,960.
- A small office moving with four cartons of files: SAR 1,020 + SAR 440 (4 cartons × SAR 110) = SAR 1,460.
- A supplier shipping two containers by sea: 2 × SAR 5,200 = SAR 10,400 from the port.
- A Dammam online store sending 400 kg of orders: 400 × SAR 5.5 = SAR 2,200 to Muscat.
Cheapest: shared truck, dedicated truck or container?
If your goods will not fill a truck, a part load or the per-tonne rate is cheaper, because you pay only for your share of the space. If they fill a truck or come close, a dedicated enclosed truck from SAR 4,200 works out better than the tonnage rate, and it is quicker because it does not wait for anyone else’s cargo. A sea container becomes competitive when the volume is very large, the destination is near the port of Sohar or Duqm, and the owner is in no hurry. In every case, costs come down when goods are stacked on pallets of standard size and the weights are declared correctly from the start; a gap between the declared and the actual weight changes the quote on loading day.
Goods and equipment from Eastern Province factories to Oman
Most of what leaves Dammam for Oman is commercial cargo: building materials, plastic and metal products, spare parts, packaging materials, electrical goods and contractors’ equipment. Al Rahwan handles these shipments in two ways: a full truckload (FTL) in an enclosed truck carrying your goods alone, and a less-than-truckload (LTL) shipment in which your goods share the truck and are charged by the tonne or by the kilo.

Pallet prices follow their count and weight, and the goods on them are stretch-wrapped and strapped so they do not lean over the long road. Each pallet carries a label with its number, and each number has a line on the packing list giving the item, quantity and weight. The commercial invoice matches the list line by line, because Omani customs compare the two.
Heavy equipment and contractors’ plant
Eastern Province contractors move generators, air compressors, pumps, small concrete mixers, scaffolding and welding sets to projects in Oman. For every machine, Al Rahwan asks for its weight, dimensions and lifting points, and whether it holds fuel, oil or a battery; fuel is drained before shipping and the battery disconnected. Heavy machines are lifted onto the truck with a crane, and the owner is asked before arrival how the unit will be unloaded at the Omani site. Heavy equipment is priced in an itemised quote once the specifications are known, because a single machine may need a special low-bed truck.
Recurring shipments for companies
A company that ships to Oman every week or every month should not have to start the formalities from scratch each time. Al Rahwan agrees a fixed collection day with it, a standard packing-list template that its warehouse fills in, and a standing file with its commercial registration and the Omani importer’s details, so that only the invoice and the list change from one load to the next. This shortens clearance and makes the arrival date at the Omani customer predictable.
Spare parts and online-store goods
Spares go in boxes labelled with their part numbers, and an urgent part that is holding up a machine is best sent by air separately from the rest of the order. Dammam online stores selling to customers in Oman send their orders consolidated by the kilo, and each order is delivered to its customer’s address or to a single point in Muscat.
Containers by sea from King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam
Large commercial volumes have a sea option: a container shipped from King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam to the port of Sohar in North Al Batinah, Salalah in Dhofar, or Duqm in Al Wusta. Twenty-footers are priced from SAR 5,200; forty-footers get an itemised quote. Sea freight is for commercial containers only, not for household furniture; a home goes in a truck that reaches its door with no port and no reloading.
| Mode | Transit | From | When to choose it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shared truck | 3–4 days | SAR 790 per tonne | Goods that do not fill a truck |
| Dedicated truck | 3–4 days | SAR 4,200 per truck | A full load or urgent goods |
| Sea container | According to the sailing schedule | SAR 5,200 for a 20 ft container | Large volumes to Sohar, Duqm or Salalah |
| Air | 24–48 hours | SAR 110 for a parcel up to 5 kg | Samples and urgent parts |
A container arriving at Sohar or Duqm is cleared at the port and then trucked to the warehouse. Sea freight therefore suits an importer close to the port, or very large, heavy goods that are not urgent. If the goods are heading for Muscat or Nizwa, the truck is usually quicker and simpler.
Shipments for institutions from Dammam to Oman
Eastern Province shipments are not limited to trading companies. International schools and institutes move classroom furniture, libraries and laboratory equipment to schools they run in Oman; medical centres move devices that need shock-absorbing packing and fixing that allows no vibration; and government bodies, embassies and consulates move office furniture and the belongings of transferred staff.
A medical device travels in its original packaging if available, otherwise in a padded wooden crate, and it is listed with its serial number. Al Rahwan moves the device but does not commission it; installation and calibration in Oman are carried out by the technician the institution approves. Shipments for official bodies are split into files – the body’s assets, the furniture of the housing it provides, and the employee’s personal belongings – each with a consignee named by the authorised official. Whether such cargo receives any special customs handling depends on how Oman’s authorities view the institution’s status – a label on the box does not decide it.
Furniture moving from Dammam to Oman
Families and employees in Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran move their homes to Oman for many reasons: a transfer between companies in the two countries, Omanis heading home after years in the Eastern Province, or residents who have found a new job in Muscat. A home move follows fixed stages: a free survey at the house, an inventory of every piece, dismantling, packing and numbering, orderly loading, and then unloading, placing, assembly and arranging in Oman.

Coastal humidity, then desert heat
Dammam and Khobar are coastal cities where humidity is high for much of the year, and then the load crosses the hot, dry Empty Quarter. That shift affects wood and fabric if moisture is sealed in with them. Furniture is therefore wrapped only when completely dry, wood gets a breathable layer before any plastic, and moisture-absorbing sachets go into cartons of clothes and books. Upholstered sofas get three layers: paper or clean sheeting against the fabric, a blanket over it, and plastic left slack on the outside. Anything that suffers in heat stays out of the truck: perfumes, candles, medicines and aerosols.
From villas and residential compounds
In the gated compounds of Dhahran and Khobar, the truck and crew need an entry permit from the compound management, which Al Rahwan arranges before loading day. In apartment blocks the lift is booked. Large Dammam villas usually have large majlis rooms, full kitchens, maid’s rooms and storerooms, and all of these are included in the survey so that nobody discovers on loading day that the load is bigger than the truck.
Dismantling here, assembly in Oman
Beds and wardrobes come apart into panels that each carry a number, and the screws from each go into a bag marked with its name. The kitchen is dismantled with its cabinets and worktops, and built-in appliances are disconnected. Split air conditioners need a technician to recover the gas before removal, and they are priced after the survey. At the Omani end the same numbers guide the crew: each panel goes back where it came from, every piece lands in the room marked on it, and the wrapping leaves with the team.
Appliances, sports equipment and children’s toys
Eastern Province homes hold plenty of appliances, and they are not all handled the same way. The fridge is emptied and dried at least a day ahead and travels upright; the washer’s drum is fixed with its transit bolts, if you kept them, or with padding that stops it swinging; ovens and microwaves have their glass trays removed and wrapped separately. Large televisions need a padded carton cut to the screen size and are loaded standing. Delicate electronics such as consoles and desktop PCs are best returned to their factory boxes; failing that, they go into cartons lined with foam, and their connections are photographed before unplugging so they are easy to set up again in Oman.
Home gym equipment such as treadmills, exercise bikes and weight benches has its large parts dismantled, and iron weights are spread across small, strong cartons because their weight tears a large box. Big children’s toys such as swings and plastic slides are taken apart with their parts tied together, and bicycles have their handlebars turned and pedals removed. Every one of these is written into the list by name, because “sports items” is not enough for customs.
Cartons, parcels and gifts from Dammam
Light parcels (5 kg maximum) start at SAR 32; a case or carton weighing up to 30 kg begins at SAR 110. People in the Eastern Province send cartons of clothes to Oman, students’ books, suitcases ahead of their flight, and boxes of dates, coffee and incense as gifts for family.

Each carton is marked with its number, the Omani wilayat and the consignee’s name and phone number, and its contents take one line on the list. Clothing cartons are protected against moisture, book cartons are kept small so their bases do not give way, and glass gifts are wrapped in bubble film. A box of dates travels in its sealed pack, and a reasonable gift quantity is not the same as a commercial quantity, which needs papers under Omani regulations. Large children’s toys and bicycles are partly dismantled to take up less room.
Air freight from Dammam to Oman
A parcel handed in at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam lands in Muscat or Salalah a day or two later (24–48 hours), and the urgent rate for 5 kg or less starts at SAR 110. Anything over 5 kg is charged on chargeable weight and given an itemised quote.

The aircraft bills on the heavier of two numbers: what the scale shows, and the box’s length, width and height in cm multiplied together and then divided by 6000. Take a carton of 50 × 40 × 30 cm: dimensionally it counts as 10 kg, so if it weighs 6 kg on the scale, 10 kg is charged. That is why air freight from Dammam suits small commercial samples, urgent spare parts, papers and contracts, and small sensitive electronics, but not large, light cartons of clothing. Airlines restrict liquids, perfume and big batteries, so those are checked before booking.
Paperwork for shipping from Dammam to Oman
The documents depend on the type of shipment. Individuals: passport and ID or iqama, a contents list in both languages, a Fasah authorisation and an Omani consignee’s details. Traders: commercial registration, commercial invoice and packing list. Cars: registration and export certificate.
| Shipment | Required in Dammam | Required for the Omani side |
|---|---|---|
| Household goods and personal effects | Passport and ID or iqama copy, detailed Arabic–English inventory, broker’s Fasah authorisation | A receiver with an Omani mobile that Bayan can register, a full address (governorate, wilayat, district, floor, lift or not), their Omani ID or residency card (copy), and the receiver’s own mandate for the broker |
| Commercial goods | Your company CR, the sales invoice, a packing list that ties every pallet to its number, and a certificate of origin when asked | The Omani importer’s name and details |
| Car | An unexpired istimara, export plates and their certificate, the owner’s ID, a letter from the lender if the car is financed, cleared traffic fines, and a mandate for whoever hands it over | Consignee details, then inspection and registration with the Royal Oman Police |
| Medical devices and equipment | Invoice and a list of serial numbers | Approval of the competent authority if the item requires it |
Customs clearance at both border posts
Before the truck leaves Dammam, the broker has already lodged the export declaration online – after you mandated him through Fasah, which ZATCA runs – and at the Empty Quarter crossing officers look the load over, opening the odd carton to check it against the list. Once across, Omani customs – part of the Royal Oman Police structure – complete the file on Bayan and examine the cargo at Ramlat Khaylah, or at the UAE entry point if the truck came that way. Omani customs set the treatment of used belongings, cars and commercial goods under the rules applicable on the day the shipment arrives; Al Rahwan therefore gives no figure for duties before seeing the load, and the quote shows exactly what the clearance price covers.
Prohibited and restricted goods
Never loaded in Dammam: drugs, a firearm or its rounds, explosives, anything that ignites easily, a gas bottle, fuel, counterfeit stock or dangerous chemicals. Not loaded until declared or approved: medicine in trade quantities, a drone, a radio transmitter, a very large battery, a plant, or food. For Eastern Province factory shipments in particular, chemicals, paints and solvents must be reviewed before they are accepted, and customs have the final word.
Insuring, tracking and storing Eastern Province shipments
Cover is something you ask for when booking, priced on the value you declare and backed by the photo inventory; it matters most for expensive goods, appliances and prestige cars. Progress reaches you four times by call or WhatsApp – after loading in Dammam, at the desert border, once inside Oman and at delivery. Storage is possible before shipping in the Eastern Province or after arrival in Oman, priced after a survey; it helps traders whose warehouse in Oman is not yet ready and families who hand back their Dammam home before they receive the new one.
Delivering Eastern Province loads across Oman
From Dammam, shipments reach every governorate in Oman. The times in the table are for Muscat and the north, with one to two days added for the south.
| Governorate | Towns and wilayats | Best route from Dammam |
|---|---|---|
| Muscat | Seeb, Muttrah, Ruwi, Bawshar, Al Khuwair, Al Amerat, Qurayyat | Empty Quarter, then Ibri |
| North Al Batinah | Sohar, Shinas | Empty Quarter, or Khatmat Malaha via the UAE |
| Al Buraimi | Al Buraimi | Usually via the UAE |
| Al Dhahirah | Ibri | Empty Quarter direct |
| Al Dakhiliyah | Nizwa, Bahla | Empty Quarter |
| South Al Batinah | Rustaq | Empty Quarter |
| North Al Sharqiyah | Ibra | Empty Quarter |
| South Al Sharqiyah | Sur | Empty Quarter |
| Al Wusta | Haima, Duqm | Empty Quarter, plus one to two days |
| Dhofar | Salalah, Taqah | Empty Quarter, plus one to two days |
| Musandam | Khasab | Via the UAE only |
Bahla in Al Dakhiliyah lies close to the road coming from Ibri, so reaching it from Dammam is not much different from reaching Nizwa. Taqah sits on the Dhofar coast east of Salalah and is delivered with Salalah shipments. Seeb and Muttrah both belong to Muscat governorate but differ in character: Seeb has wide residential districts and villas, while Muttrah has old souqs and narrow streets that may need a smaller vehicle for the last leg. If your goods are split between wilayats, say so before loading so the truck can be packed in drop-off order.
Muscat versus Salalah from Dammam
Muscat takes 3–4 days at the list’s starting prices. Salalah adds a day or two, making 4–6, and its extra mileage shows up in the quote. By air both cities take 24–48 hours, since each has an international airport.
Tips before shipping from Dammam
- Book early in busy seasons: summer, the end of the school year and the Eid holidays bring heavy demand, so book two weeks ahead.
- Draw up the list before dismantling: photograph each room and note the pieces; an accurate list speeds up customs.
- Clean before packing: wash carpets and soft furnishings and let them dry fully, because coastal moisture and road heat leave odours.
- Repair broken pieces: a piece already damaged will not survive a long road, so repair it or leave it behind.
- Insure valuable items: expensive appliances and antiques deserve cover on their declared value.
- Papers ready: invoices for new appliances, a certificate of origin for traders when requested, and the Fasah authorisation before loading day.
Booking steps
- Contact 0568829975 and state the type of shipment: goods, furniture, a car or cartons.
- Send weights and dimensions or photos, or ask for a free survey in Dammam, Khobar or Jubail.
- Receive an itemised quote showing the route, transit time and what is included.
- Pay the deposit and prepare the papers; the balance is paid after loading, and there are no instalments.
- Loading day: inventory, packing, numbering and weighing, then your signature on the list or that of someone you authorise.
- Follow the messages at the border and on entry into Oman.
- Delivery in Oman with unloading and assembly, and the list checked before you sign.
Nobody expects you to attend every step; someone signing for you on loading day and a consignee present in Oman are enough. Collection from more than one address in the Eastern Province is possible – a warehouse in Dammam and a house in Khobar, for example – with a list for each address.
How to choose a shipping company from Dammam to Oman
The first thing to ask any company is whether it knows the right route for your wilayat. A company that answers “everything goes through the UAE” or “everything goes through the Empty Quarter” without asking where you are going does not know the lane well. Then ask about transit time: does it include clearance, or is it only driving time? Ask for an itemised quote that lists packing, dismantling, assembly, clearance and delivery to the door, because a vague total tends to grow after loading. Ask how insurance is calculated, how tracking works and when the phone is answered; a load crossing a desert and two borders needs a company that picks up when you call about it. Traders have an extra question: can the company arrange recurring shipments on a fixed day, and does it offer both dedicated trucks and containers? Before paying, make sure the deposit is against a fully itemised quote and the balance is paid after loading, not before.
Companies relocating staff from the Eastern Province to Oman
When a company transfers an employee from Dammam to its office in Muscat or Sohar, it often pays for the household move. The quote then goes out in the employer’s name and the invoice sent to it, while the employee remains the owner of the belongings on the customs papers. The company usually needs an itemised quote approved by its management before booking, so Al Rahwan sends the quote after the survey broken down into furniture, the car if there is one, cartons, insurance and storage if needed. If several employees are relocating in the same period, their shipments are put on one schedule with a separate list for each family.
Shipping from Oman to Dammam
The reverse direction is an established service too: someone finishing a job in Oman and returning to the Eastern Province, or an Omani trader sending goods to an importer in Dammam, ships through Ramlat Khaylah and then the Empty Quarter crossing, or through the UAE if loading is in Sohar or Al Buraimi. Transit is similar, and the paperwork is the same with the roles reversed.
Mistakes Eastern Province shippers make
- Rough weights for the goods: a gap between declared and actual weight changes the price and slows customs.
- An invoice that does not match the packing list: Omani customs compare them line by line.
- Fuel left in equipment: it must be drained before loading.
- Wrapping furniture while damp: coastal moisture turns into mould in the heat.
- Assuming a sea container is always cheaper: for small volumes the truck is cheaper and quicker.
- No local number for the receiver: the Bayan file sits waiting.
- Belongings inside the shipped car: the car travels empty.
