Al Rahwan, a Shipping Company from Taif to Kuwait, collects household goods, Taif produce, cars and trade goods from Taif, Al Hada, Al Shafa and Al Hawiyah and heads east along the Riyadh road before swinging north, passing Al Majmaah and Hafar Al Batin, to the border at Al Ruqai, then over to Kuwait’s Al Salmi post. Between loading in Taif and arrival at your door, allow 3 to 5 days. A 10 kg parcel of honey or rose products starts from SAR 110, a three-bedroom home and its appliances from SAR 2,300, and a 4×4 sharing a transporter from SAR 1,100. Call 0568829975; there is a person on the line from 7 am until 11 pm daily, and the online form works round the clock.

Taif is not like its neighbours on the coast. Its climate is cooler and drier than Jeddah or Makkah, it is home to military families and employees who move on transfer orders with fixed dates, and the rose farms of Al Hada and Al Shafa send Kuwaiti visitors home with rose water, rose oil and honey. People shipping from Taif to Kuwait ask questions others do not: how do I send rose water without it leaking? Is it worth shipping pomegranates and grapes? How do I move my home in time for a job transfer? This guide answers all of that, along with everything an ordinary shipment from Taif to Kuwait needs.

- Small items: a vial of rose oil in a 2 kg packet from SAR 37, jars of honey up to 10 kg from SAR 110, a full suitcase up to 20 kg from SAR 140.
- Household: a single room begins at SAR 1,350, a three-bedroom home and its appliances at SAR 2,300, and a Taif villa at SAR 3,700.

The road from Taif to Kuwait and the crossing it uses
Taif sits on the road linking the west of the Kingdom with Riyadh, which makes the first leg of its shipments slightly shorter than Jeddah’s. A dedicated truck for a whole house or a commercial load leaves Taif heading straight east to Riyadh. Suitcases, cartons and the furniture of a room or two join a shared trip instead: either they are taken to the Jeddah consolidation point, or they board a truck coming from Jeddah and Makkah that passes through Taif on its way, whichever departure is nearest.
Beyond Riyadh the truck keeps north, through Al Majmaah and then Hafar Al Batin, until it reaches Al Ruqai, the exit used by every city in the west. That last leg, from Riyadh to Kuwait City, covers about 640 km. After Al Ruqai the truck crosses to Al Salmi in Kuwait and distribution begins. The Al Khafji and Al Nuwaiseeb crossing on the east coast is for Dammam, Jubail and Al Ahsa shipments and plays no part in a Taif trip.

| Stop | Place | Work done |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Your home, farm or shop in Taif, Al Hada, Al Shafa or Al Hawiyah | Wrapping, numbering and weighing; small-vehicle shuttle on narrow or mountain roads |
| Joining a trip | Taif directly or via Jeddah | Dedicated truck or shared load |
| Middle leg | Taif to Riyadh | The highway east |
| Northern leg | Riyadh to Al Ruqai | Al Majmaah, then Hafar Al Batin |
| Border | Al Ruqai, then Al Salmi | Saudi Fasah declaration, then Kuwaiti customs |
| Finish | Kuwait’s six governorates | Delivery, placing and reassembly |
How many days does a Taif shipment need?
The working figure is 3 to 5 days, counted from loading rather than from your call. Moving a whole house adds two days in front of that: one for the survey and one for taking furniture apart and wrapping it. A shipment hits the lower end when it travels in a dedicated truck leaving Taif directly, with its papers complete on Fasah before it reaches Al Ruqai and the recipient in Kuwait ready with a full address. It edges towards the upper end when it waits for a shared load to fill, or when the address is in southern Kuwait, such as Fahaheel or Wafra.
| What you ship | Time from Taif |
|---|---|
| Parcels, cartons and suitcases | 3–5 days |
| Packaged Taif produce | 3–5 days |
| Whole house | 3–5 days after loading |
| Car | 2–4 days from loading onto the transporter |
| Air shipment | 24–48 hours |
Car shipping from Taif to Kuwait
Al Rahwan moves your car from Taif on a multi-deck car transporter, covered and with its wheels strapped down, and it is in Kuwait two to four days after boarding. Prices open at SAR 1,100 for a 4×4 on a shared deck and SAR 920 for a sedan, at SAR 1,390 for a transporter given over to your car alone, and at SAR 4,150 for a prestige car shut inside an enclosed carrier. SUVs are common in Taif, since people drive them up to Al Hada and Al Shafa and out into the desert, so they are the most frequent request from this city.

The car file before shipping: the owner’s ID, an istimara still in date, the plates, the export certificate, a bank letter if instalments remain, signed authority when someone else hands the car over, and from the Kuwait end the receiver’s civil ID. Before you book, Al Rahwan confirms your car meets what Kuwait requires of imported vehicles; those conditions are set by Kuwaiti rules, and asking first costs less than discovering them at the border.
Choosing between transporters
The shared transporter is the most economical and suits a family car. A dedicated one is for someone whose job transfer cannot wait, or who is sending two cars together. The enclosed carrier is for a valuable or classic car whose owner wants no dust or grit on a road that crosses the whole of Najd. In every case the car is photographed before it is covered, and its keys and accessories are listed.
Preparing a Taif car for the trip
A car used to the mountain roads of Al Hada and Al Shafa and to desert trips usually carries dust and sand underneath and camping gear in the boot. Wash it and empty it completely: the tent, the small gas stove, its cylinder, the toolbox, the cartons. Gas cylinders are prohibited outright, and any other undeclared items delay the car at inspection in Al Ruqai or Al Salmi. Leave a little fuel, photograph the odometer, and tell Al Rahwan in advance if the car is lifted, modified or not running.
Shipping prices from Taif to Kuwait
How much does shipping from Taif to Kuwait cost? A vial or small gift in a two-kilo packet starts at SAR 37; jars of honey in a ten-kilo parcel start at SAR 110; a suitcase or carton of twenty kilos starts at SAR 140; beyond a handful of cartons the road rate applies, from SAR 6.5 per kilo; furniture for one room starts at SAR 1,350 and a sedan at SAR 920. Treat these as floors; the actual price of your shipment depends on weight, volume, packing and the pickup and delivery locations.
| Shipment type | From (SAR) |
|---|---|
| Small parcel up to 2 kg | 37 |
| Parcel up to 10 kg | 110 |
| Carton or suitcase up to 20 kg | 140 |
| Per kilo by road (larger quantities) | 6.5 |
| Per kilo by air (chargeable weight) | 28 |
| One room of furniture | 1,350 |
| Small flat (two bedrooms, majlis and kitchen) | 1,390 |
| Three-bedroom flat with appliances | 2,300 |
| Villa or whole house | 3,700 |
| Part load in a shared truck | 1,290 |
| Dedicated closed truck (transport only) | 2,300 |
| Sedan on a shared transporter | 920 |
| SUV on a shared transporter | 1,100 |
| Car on its own transporter | 1,390 |
| Luxury car in an enclosed carrier | 4,150 |

Items with no price in the table, such as using lifts to lower furniture from upper floors, AC removal, wooden crates, storage or insurance, are priced after the free survey. You then receive an itemised quote showing what goes on transport, what goes on labour and packing and what goes on extra services, so no line appears that was never mentioned.
Worked examples from Taif homes
- Kuwaiti visitor from Al Hada: a carton of packaged rose products and honey up to 20 kg plus a gift parcel up to 10 kg: 140 + 110 = from SAR 250.
- Transferred employee in Shihar with a car: small flat 1,390 + sedan 920 = from SAR 2,310.
- Military family in Al Hawiyah with an SUV: three-bedroom flat 2,300 + SUV 1,100 = from SAR 3,400.
- Family in a villa in Al Faisaliyah with two cars: 3,700 + 1,100 + 920 = from SAR 5,720.
- Taif produce shop sending two pallets to Farwaniya: 550 + 550 = from SAR 1,100.
Where cost differences come from
Four factors move the price. The weight of cartons in small shipments. The volume of furniture in house moves, because sofas and wardrobes claim large spaces that nothing can be stacked on. The type of protection, since a wooden crate for a large mirror is not ordinary wrapping. And the location of the home: a villa in Al Shafa on a narrow mountain road needs a small-vehicle shuttle to the truck, and a block in Shihar with no lift needs more crew or a lift.
The cheapest way to ship from Taif
Sharing truck space with other customers, from SAR 1,290, is the most economical choice for anyone who does not fill a truck. A few cartons pay only the carton rate. The biggest saving comes from sorting: cheap old furniture is sold in Taif, and things you will not need in Kuwait stay behind. Flexibility on the date lets Al Rahwan add your shipment to the nearest trip through Taif, so you do not pay for a whole truck to carry half a load.
Before comparing two companies
Make sure both quotes stand on the same footing: door to door, with dismantling, packing and reassembly, clearance at Al Ruqai and Al Salmi, and for the same kind of load. A price that leaves out unloading in Kuwait, or adds the lift after work day, is not really cheaper. Ask for the lines in an itemised quote and compare them one by one.
Collection from Taif, Al Hada, Al Shafa and Al Hawiyah
Al Rahwan covers all of Taif: North and South Al Shuhada, Al Faisaliyah, Shihar, Al Qamariyah, Al Salamah, Al Aziziyah, Al Washha, Al Rayyan, Nakhb, Jabrah, Al Mathnah, Qurwa, Al Radf, the Al Hawiyah districts in the north, and up to Al Hada and Al Shafa. Each area has its own way of collecting.
| Area | Type of pickup | What to prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Al Hawiyah and the northern districts | Homes and flats of employees and military families | A date that fits the transfer order, and housing entry procedures if any |
| Shihar, Al Faisaliyah, Al Shuhada, Al Qamariyah | Apartment blocks and villas in the city | Floor, lift and truck parking spot |
| Al Hada | Rest houses and farms on a mountain road | Small-vehicle shuttle to the truck |
| Al Shafa | Scattered farms and houses in the highlands | An exact location on the map |
| Industrial and commercial areas | Shops and stores | Invoices, packing list and forklift |
The roads of Al Hada and Al Shafa wind, and some farms and rest houses are reached by tracks too narrow for a large truck. There, a dyna or pickup carries the goods from the site to where the closed truck can wait; that run never leaves the Taif area, because the border is crossed by the large closed trucks alone. Send the farm or rest-house location as a map pin, because place names in the highlands are easily confused.
Shipping Taif produce to Kuwait: roses, honey and fruit
Visitors to Taif rarely leave without something made from roses. Rose water and rose oil are liquids, honey is a food and fruit spoils quickly, and each follows its own shipping rule. Al Rahwan ships packaged Taif produce by road once it is declared on the contents list, and most of what a visitor carries fits either a ten-kilo parcel, from SAR 110, or a twenty-kilo carton, from SAR 140. Foodstuffs are shipped according to the regulations in force, with customs as the authority on what is accepted.
Rose water and rose oil
Tape the caps of rose-water bottles, place each bottle in a sealed bag to contain any leak, then in bubble wrap, and stand them upright in a carton with dividers. Small vials of rose oil are wrapped the same way inside a rigid box. By road this ships once declared; by air, rose water counts as a restricted liquid, while rose oil, like many perfumes and aromatic oils, is flammable, so neither flies without prior approval. The safe route for rose products is the truck.
Honey
Honey from Taif and the Sarawat goes in tightly sealed containers, with sturdy food-grade plastic preferred over glass for larger amounts. Bag the containers, then pack them in a carton of no more than 20 kg, marked “this way up” with a clear arrow. Honey is a food, so it is listed by type and weight and is subject to whatever food and customs regulations apply at the time of shipping.
Pomegranates, grapes, figs and prickly pears
Here you need frank advice: fresh fruit does not suit a 3-to-5-day trip in a closed, unrefrigerated truck, and much of it would arrive spoiled; chilled foodstuffs need special approval. What ships well is dried, tinned or factory-packed produce: raisins, dried figs, pomegranate molasses in sealed bottles and jams. Plants and rose seedlings need prior approval, so ask before buying them with shipping in mind.
| Product | By road | By air | Packing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rose water | Shipped once declared | A liquid restricted in air freight | Taped cap, sealed bag, bubble wrap, divided carton |
| Rose oil and perfumes | Shipped once declared | Restricted, prior approval needed | Vial inside a rigid box |
| Honey | Per food regulations | Per regulations, declared in advance | Sealed containers, bagged, then a carton |
| Fresh fruit | Not suitable for a long trip | Needs approval | Better sent dried or tinned |
| Raisins, dried figs and jams | Per food regulations | Per regulations | Sealed factory packs |
| Rose seedlings and plants | Need approval | Need approval | Do not ship before confirming |
Moving household furniture from Taif to Kuwait
The Al Rahwan crew moves whole Taif households: wooden furniture, electrical appliances, clothes, kitchens and majlis seating. Work starts with a free survey that produces an inventory of every piece, followed by a dismantling and packing day and then loading. The starting figure grows with the home: SAR 1,350 for one room, SAR 1,390 for a two-bedroom flat including majlis and kitchen, SAR 2,300 for three bedrooms and their appliances, and SAR 3,700 for a villa or full house in Al Shuhada or Al Faisaliyah.

Transferred employees and military families
A job transfer has its own rhythm: the start date in Kuwait is fixed, the date to vacate housing in Taif is fixed, and only a few days lie between them. So Al Rahwan starts from the last date with a transferred family: the reporting day, then back 3 to 5 days for the road, then the packing day, then the survey day, and on top a buffer of a day or two in case a paper is missing. These families usually do best with a closed truck booked for them alone, whose haulage begins at SAR 2,300, because it departs on the agreed day without waiting for other loads.
If the housing is government-provided or inside a gated compound, find out in advance the entry procedure for the truck and crew, the permitted working hours and who signs off the housing handover. If the head of the family is going ahead to Kuwait, leave an authorisation for whoever attends loading day, with a copy of the quote and the inventory.
From Al Hawiyah to Jahra: a transferred family’s move as it really happens
A father working in Taif receives his transfer order. The family lives in a three-bedroom house in Al Hawiyah, owns an SUV, and their new address is in Saad Al Abdullah in Jahra governorate. He calls two weeks before his reporting date, the survey is arranged for the next day, and the inventory is written: three bedrooms, a majlis, a small kitchen, two air conditioners, and cartons of kitchenware and clothes. Their itemised quote sets SAR 2,300 against the household and SAR 1,100 against the 4×4, a starting total of SAR 3,400, before the two AC units are listed.
A week before reporting comes work day: everything is dismantled, wrapped and numbered, the dedicated truck leaves Taif that evening and the car goes onto the transporter. The loading notification arrives, then the Al Ruqai crossing, then entry into Kuwait. Because Saad Al Abdullah is in Jahra, the governorate nearest the Al Salmi crossing, delivery comes on the first day of distribution, and the furniture is set up while the family still has days in hand before the first day at work. That margin is the difference between a comfortable move and a rushed one.
If the transfer date changes
Transfer orders are sometimes brought forward or pushed back after a family has arranged everything. If the date moves earlier, the dedicated truck leaves on the nearest available day without waiting for a load. If it moves later and you must vacate the housing, storage before shipping solves it: the furniture is wrapped and kept until the new date is set, then loaded. Either way, tell Al Rahwan as soon as you know, because an early change is easier and cheaper than one made on loading day.
Dismantling, reassembly and packing
Beds and wardrobes come apart into numbered panels, with screws and hinges in bags carrying the piece number. Fabric sofas get paper or cotton against the cloth, a blanket over that, and plastic on the outside without pulling it tight. Leather never touches plastic directly. Glass comes off tables and is protected between two boards. Large mirrors go in a wooden crate. The materials used include cartons of various sizes, bubble wrap, blankets, tape and cardboard edge protectors.
Taif is drier than the coast, but its winters are cold, and wooden furniture taken from a heated house into a cold truck at night should not be tightly wrapped while still warm, so no moisture condenses under the plastic. Moisture-absorbing sachets go in drawers and in cartons of clothes and papers.
Lifts for upper floors
In buildings with no lift, or when a piece is larger than the lift and staircase, Al Rahwan lowers furniture from upper floors with external lifts and then loads it onto the truck. This saves time, protects stairs and walls from scrapes, and protects the piece itself from tilting and rubbing. The cost of the lift is set after the survey according to the floor and the size of the pieces, and appears as a separate line on the quote.
Electrical appliances and air conditioners
The fridge is switched off a day ahead, emptied and dried; the washing machine has its drum secured; the TV goes back in its box if you kept it, or into a lined carton. A split AC keeps its pipes until the technician has trapped the refrigerant in the outdoor unit; after that the pipes come off and the ports are sealed. Taking down and refitting ACs and kitchens is quoted after the survey, unit by unit.
Part load or dedicated truck?
One or two rooms can ride as shared-truck space from SAR 1,290. A whole house, or a family working to a transfer date, is better off with its own closed truck, starting at SAR 2,300 for the haulage, in which the furniture stays in the same truck from Taif to Kuwait without being moved to another.
Shipping cartons, suitcases and parcels from Taif
Small things are priced on a short scale: from SAR 37 for two kilos, SAR 110 for ten, SAR 140 for a case or carton of up to twenty, and larger amounts are weighed and charged at the road rate, from SAR 6.5 per kilo. This suits a student heading home with belongings, a visitor who bought more than the plane allows, and a family sending cartons to relatives in Kuwait.
A sturdy carton sized to its contents beats a large half-empty one. Heavy items at the bottom, fragile ones wrapped on top, gaps filled with paper and tape along every edge. Put a number on each carton along with the Kuwaiti receiver’s name and phone, and if the cartons are for several recipients, give each a consecutive range of numbers of their own.
Commercial goods from Taif
Taif produce shops and small factories ship to Kuwait as a full load (FTL) or part load (LTL), with a commercial pallet from SAR 550. Their papers: an invoice naming every product line, a packing list, a copy of the shop’s CR, full details of whoever imports it in Kuwait, and a certificate of origin on request. Farm machinery and other heavy kit gets a price once it has been inspected free, since weight and lifting gear drive the cost. Containers by sea, SAR 4,600 and up for twenty feet and SAR 7,800 and up for forty, leave King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam bound for Shuwaikh or Shuaiba, and are weighed against a full road truck only for large commercial volumes.
Moving an office or shop from Taif to Kuwait
Anyone relocating a business from Taif to Kuwait, whether an office or a small shop, ships a mix of furniture, equipment, files and stock. Desks are dismantled and numbered like household furniture, chairs are wrapped in layers, devices go back in their boxes or into lined cartons, and files go into small cartons numbered by department so staff find them where they expect. The paperwork separates used office furniture from goods for sale, since each is treated differently and needs different documents. After the survey Al Rahwan decides whether a part load is enough or a dedicated truck is needed.
Air freight from Taif to Kuwait
Most air cargo from Taif is first driven down to Jeddah and flown to Kuwait from King Abdulaziz International, though a shipment may also take off from Taif airport depending on the flights available, with no promise of a direct flight. The trip takes no more than two days, and the chargeable kilo starts at SAR 28. Al Rahwan collects the shipment from your home in Taif and takes it to the airport.

On a plane a box is judged by its size as well as its weight, and the bigger result is the one billed. Size becomes kilos when you multiply the three dimensions in centimetres and divide by 6,000, so a carton measuring 50, 40 and 30 equals 10 kg even if it barely reaches 3 kg on the scale. So air is for documents, permitted personal medicines in limited quantities, small spare parts and small devices, not for blankets or rose water.
When to choose air from Taif
When the item is small and urgent: a certificate an employee needs on the first day of work in Kuwait, a passport, a permitted medicine. Everything else rides the truck: road freight starts at SAR 6.5 a kilo, while a chargeable kilo in the air starts at SAR 28. Transferred families usually split their shipment: furniture on the truck, and the bag of important papers and the first days’ clothes on the plane.
Documents required for shipping from Taif to Kuwait
What paperwork goes with a Taif to Kuwait shipment? For household goods, your ID or iqama, a packing list of what was sent, your Fasah authority for the broker, and the address of whoever receives in Kuwait. For shop produce, the invoice, packing list and CR, with a certificate of origin if requested. For a car, the export certificate along with its istimara, plates and owner’s ID, plus the lender’s letter where a loan remains.
| Shipment | What is needed |
|---|---|
| Cartons and personal produce | ID or iqama copy, contents list with items and weights, Fasah authorisation, recipient details |
| Household furniture | Personal papers together with an inventory giving each piece its own number, and the receiver’s civil ID when requested |
| Produce for sale | Invoice listing rose and honey products with quantities, packing list, CR copy, importer details, and a certificate of origin if asked |
| Car | Export certificate, istimara and plates, ID of the registered owner, bank letter if financed, authority for a stand-in, receiver’s civil ID |
Write the receiver’s address in the order Kuwaitis use it: governorate, then area, block, street and house, along with their name and phone, the floor if it is a flat, and whether there is a lift. Anyone calling from outside the Kingdom, from Kuwait for example, can arrange the whole shipment by phone or online request and send the papers as photos.
Customs and clearance at Al Ruqai and Al Salmi
The process starts before the truck leaves Taif: you authorise the broker online and the declaration goes onto Fasah, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority platform. At Al Salmi, staff of Kuwait’s General Administration of Customs complete the entry. Cartons may be opened for inspection, especially those holding food or liquids, which is why rose products and honey are best given a carton of their own with a clear list.
For used household goods and cars, Kuwaiti customs applies whatever its rules say on the day the shipment arrives. Do not rely on what circulates about fixed fees or items without procedures; put your list in front of Al Rahwan before booking and you will hear what each line demands.
Prohibited and restricted items
Some things are refused outright between Taif and Kuwait: any drug, any weapon or round of ammunition, anything explosive, gas, fuel and fireworks, knock-off goods and dangerous chemicals. Others are accepted only after they are declared or approved before loading: a large quantity of medicine, a drone, a two-way radio, a very big battery, a plant, or chilled food. Customs decides what gets through.
From Taif specifically: gas cylinders and camping stoves, spare fuel for farm generators, pesticides and chemical fertilisers from farms, and rose seedlings. These are sorted out before packing and never go into cartons.
Insurance, tracking and storage
Does Al Rahwan guarantee the shipment? Financial protection here means insurance, an extra you add while booking; it is priced from the value you state and a photo inventory of your goods, and it gets its own line on the quote setting out what is and is not covered. Read them before signing, and keep the condition photos and the loading receipt. You get a message at loading in Taif, another as the truck exits at Al Ruqai, a third on entering Kuwait, and the last at handover. If you must vacate your housing before the Kuwait home is ready, the furniture can wait in a warehouse, in Taif before the trip or in Kuwait after it, at a price fixed after the survey.
Shipping steps with Al Rahwan from Taif
- Request: call 0568829975 or book online with your Taif district or farm location and your Kuwait address.
- Survey: photos for cartons and produce, or a free survey for a house.
- Quote: an itemised quote listing transport, labour, lift and packing separately.
- Papers: your iqama or ID, an inventory of what you send, the Fasah authority and the full Kuwaiti address of the receiver.
- Work day: dismantling, wrapping and numbering, then loading, with every piece checked against the list.
- On the road: notifications at loading, Al Ruqai and arrival.
- Arrival: delivery by number, placing and reassembly.
Planning before work day cuts the effort in half: sort what stays, empty the fridge, pack rose products and honey in a separate carton, book the lift if there is one, and let neighbours know if the truck will stand in front of a shared entrance.
What sets a good shipping company in Taif apart?
Listen to how the company answers your first call. One that knows its work asks about your Taif district, floor and lift, your Kuwait address by governorate and block, and the car and its papers before giving you any number. It tells you the route crosses at Al Ruqai and Al Salmi and that transit is 3 to 5 days from loading, not from booking. It says plainly what is not worth shipping, such as fresh fruit, instead of accepting everything and delivering it spoiled. And it gives an itemised quote covering dismantling, packing, reassembly and a lift if needed. A price given in a minute without a single question tends to grow after loading day.
Delivery across Kuwait’s governorates
Taif shipments enter Kuwait through Al Salmi, so the first drops are made in Jahra; the truck then serves the Capital and Farwaniya, moves on to Hawalli and Mubarak Al Kabeer, and finishes down in Ahmadi. Delivery covers unloading, placing, reassembly and arranging.
| Governorate | Areas include | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Jahra | Jahra, Saad Al Abdullah, Abdali | First stop after Al Salmi |
| Capital | Kuwait City, Shuwaikh, Dasma, Kaifan, Shamiya | Shuwaikh warehouses for trade cargo |
| Farwaniya | Farwaniya, Khaitan, Jleeb Al Shuyoukh, Rabiya, Ardiya | Multi-storey apartment blocks |
| Hawalli | Hawalli, Salmiya, Jabriya, Rumaithiya, Mishref, Bayan | Service lift booking in towers |
| Mubarak Al Kabeer | Sabah Al Salem, Adan, Qurain, Messila | Family homes and residential areas |
| Ahmadi | Fahaheel, Mangaf, Fintas, Mahboula, Wafra, Sabah Al Ahmad | Furthest south; Wafra has farms |
In apartment blocks and towers the recipient books the service lift and obtains building management approval beforehand. At houses, they mark where the truck can stop. Anyone sending farm equipment to a farm in Wafra or Abdali should make sure there is a way to unload it on site.
Common mistakes when shipping from Taif to Kuwait
- Shipping fresh fruit: a 3-to-5-day trip spoils it; dried and tinned produce is the better choice.
- Rose water in an air carton: liquids are restricted by air, so send it by road once declared.
- Mixing food with clothes: give produce its own carton with a clear list.
- Leaving camping gear in the car: the stove and cylinder are prohibited, and the rest slows inspection.
- Vague locations in Al Hada or Al Shafa: send a map pin, not just a place name.
- Tying a transfer order to the shortest transit: count survey, packing, road and a paperwork margin.
- Leaving the lift out of the quote: mention the floor and the absence of a lift at the survey.
Why Taif customers choose Al Rahwan for shipping to Kuwait
Because the company knows Taif, its districts, its highlands and its produce, and knows a shipment from Al Hada is not the same as one from the city centre. The Al Rahwan network reaches every country by truck, ship and plane, and Kuwait is one of the destinations its customers book most. It packs rose water and honey against leaks, tells you honestly what is not worth shipping, schedules transferred families around their reporting date, lowers furniture from upper floors with lifts, gives you an itemised quote, keeps you informed with notifications, then unloads and reassembles in whichever Kuwaiti governorate you live. Rarely is there no offer running, so mention it when you call.
Al Rahwan’s number is 0568829975, answered every day from early morning at seven until eleven at night, and the website takes bookings too.
